About Signvrse

Signvrse is a Nairobi accessibility startup that uses artificial intelligence, motion capture and 3D avatars to bridge communication gaps for Deaf and hard-of-hearing people. Its flagship platform, Terp 360, turns English and Swahili speech or text into Kenyan Sign Language through animated avatars, built on one of Kenya's largest sign-language datasets, and is used across public services, education and enterprise. Founded in 2023 by Elly Savatia and Branice Kazira, Signvrse won the Royal Academy of Engineering's 2025 Africa Prize for Engineering Innovation and was selected for Cohort 4 of the Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship run by iHub.
