About Deaf Outreach Program
Deaf Outreach Program (DEAFOP) is a Kenyan NGO advancing equitable education for Deaf learners through sign-language-accessible learning, digital innovation and accessible educational content, partnering with Deaf schools and communities to remove barriers to quality education. Its Deaf Digital Library translates Kenya's school curriculum into Kenyan Sign Language and works online and offline, alongside an inclusive learning management system for learners aged 5 to 18 with hearing impairments and KSL sexual and reproductive health education. Founded in Embu in 2011 by Ann Gloria Njoki, it was selected for Cohort 4 of the Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship run by iHub.
