About Mosmos

Mosmos is a lifestyle commerce platform in Kenya that lets customers buy products by paying progressively, a model known locally as lipa pole pole. Shoppers pick an item from a partner merchant in-store, at online checkout or in the Mosmos app, make a first payment and complete the balance at their own pace, with no interest or hidden fees. Partner merchants gain customers who cannot pay the full price upfront.

Mosmos was founded in 2021 by Chengo Masha and Shiro Njoroge, soft-launching that year and launching officially in early 2022. It is operated by Asenatech Limited and is based in Nairobi.
