E-Tafakna

E-Tafakna is a Tunisian LegalTech platform that lets businesses and individuals create, review, sign and manage contracts online. Users draft from templates, collaborate on documents, sign electronically and track contract status in real time through web and mobile apps. Its AI assistant reviews each clause, flags risks and suggests changes, and the company also offers an enterprise legal AI product, expert consultations, company formation services and free tools such as an NDA generator.

The platform serves startups and SMEs, freelancers, HR teams, banks and insurers, and law firms, and covers 23 jurisdictions including Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kenya and France, with more markets in preparation. It runs on a SaaS subscription model with paid add-ons. E-Tafakna was launched in 2022 by founder Norchen Mezni, a serial entrepreneur, and operates from offices in Ennasr and at THE DOT in Tunis. It states clearly that it is not a law firm.

In 2024 the company won Tunisia's national innovation competition and the MENA regional prize at HiiL's Innovating Justice Challenge, and was ranked among the 20 most promising startups by Managers magazine. In October 2026 it was one of 22 startups selected for further support by the SANAD ElevateHer programme delivered by Seedstars.
