About Zumii

Zumii takes a child's school stationery list and handles the rest: it sources every item, packs and labels the order and delivers it to the parent's home. Parents send their list over WhatsApp instead of visiting several shops at the start of the school year, and the company's line 'Your list. Our job.' sums up the offer.

The business operates in South Africa and was formerly known as MM Stationery Shoppers before rebranding as Zumii. It serves parents directly, with schools as a natural distribution channel, and competes with retail back-to-school promotions and the growing number of online stationery suppliers.

In October 2026 Zumii was selected for the Google for Startups Accelerator: South Africa 2026 cohort, one of 15 AI-focused startups in a three-month programme that concludes with a Demo Day in December 2026. Google describes it as a WhatsApp platform that sources, packs and delivers school stationery to parents. Founders, founding year, head office, delivery coverage and traction figures have not been published, and the company's website currently carries only a short landing page.
