About Tuza Smart Bracelet

Tuza Smart Bracelet is a Rwandan health-wearable project developed by Djuma Itangishaka. The bracelet is designed to detect early signs of anxiety, stress and other mental-health disorders and responds with haptic vibrations that help calm the wearer; a companion mobile app suggests exercises during prolonged distress and connects users to further support. It targets people who cannot afford professional care or avoid it because of stigma. In September 2026 it was one of six winners of Imbuto Foundation's iAccelerator Phase 7, receiving Rwf 10 million in seed funding and six months of training and mentorship.
