About Rana Energy
Rana Energy offers solar power on a subscription basis to small businesses and households in Nigeria. Its energy-as-a-service model bundles renewable energy infrastructure with a customer app for AI-driven energy management, remote monitoring and control, AR-enabled installation and maintenance support, and a hybrid chatbot for round-the-clock customer service. Subscriptions are flexible and can be upgraded over time.
The Lagos-based company was founded in 2023 by Abraham Mohammed and Mubarak Popoola and is currently onboarding customers through a waitlist. Rana Energy took part in Cohort 2 of the ARM Labs Lagos Techstars Accelerator (2024) and is a Techstars portfolio company.
