CherryPick (Cherry-Pick (Z) Limited) is a Lusaka-based Zambian agro-processing company founded in 2016 by Zama Mwanza Bbuku and her husband Lwando Bbuku. It began as a small strawberry-growing venture and now sources seasonal produce from small-scale farmers and processes it into shelf-stable, packaged dried fruit and cashew nut snacks, aiming to reduce post-harvest losses and offer healthier alternatives to ultra-processed foods. The company sells through retail, direct customers, corporate orders and partnerships, holds ZABS certification, and is developing AgroChain360, a platform for traceability, farmer coordination, production planning and quality assurance. CherryPick was one of the top five winners of the 2025 Standard Chartered Women in Tech Zambia Accelerator, implemented by BongoHive with support from Village Capital.
