About BluLever Education

BluLever Education is a Johannesburg-based technical and vocational education and training provider that prepares young South Africans for careers in the trades. It runs structured apprenticeships in plumbing, electrical work and solar installation, pairing classroom learning with placements at employer partners. It also offers upskilling and business workshops for artisan business owners and contractors who want to grow their companies and train others.

The company works with three groups: students who want to qualify as artisans, artisan SMEs that need skilled staff and management support, and organisations that fund or host training. It operates from Braamfontein in Johannesburg and reports more than 400 apprentices placed, 150 artisan SMEs supported and 100 employer partners. Partners listed on its site include Harambee, Kandua, SAYouth and IOPSA.

In July 2023 BluLever announced funding from the Elea Foundation, the Autodesk Foundation, Oppenheimer Generations and A to Z Impact to add electrical, automotive and welding programmes to its original plumbing track. In August 2026 Jess Roussos of BluLever was named one of the Top 10 finalists of Africa's Business Heroes 2026, with the Grand Finale scheduled for December 2026 in Kigali.
