About Trakka

Trakka was a Nigerian personal-finance app that let users sync multiple bank accounts in one place for budgeting, expense tracking and direct debits. Co-founded in 2022 by Oluwatimilehin Ogunme and Rasheed Aro; the app went public in May 2022 (company-reported). In a Techpoint interview published 19 October 2026, co-founder Rasheed Aro said the startup recorded about 10,000 users and shut down by 2024, citing an immature open-banking ecosystem and a Central Bank of Nigeria directive affecting partners' virtual account services. Trakka won N7 million as second runner-up at Wema Bank's Hackaholics 4.0 in October 2023. Also known in some company records as Finstaq Technologies.
