About Tradevu

Tradevu is a Lagos-based fintech that provides credit and payments infrastructure for small and medium-sized businesses engaged in cross-border trade. Its platform combines multi-currency accounts, international payments and embedded trade finance, so importers and exporters can pay suppliers, receive payments and access working capital from one place rather than stitching together banks, forex providers and lenders.

The company was founded in 2022 by Nkiru Amadi-Emina, who previously founded and led Pivo, a Nigerian supply-chain fintech that built bank accounts and payments for freight carriers. Tradevu was backed by The Baobab Network accelerator and had grown to around eight employees by mid-2026.

In July 2026 Tradevu was named one of 15 finalists in Renew Capital's Renew Venture Lab EmFi Series, the pan-African investment firm's first programme dedicated to embedded finance. Finalists, chosen from a field of more than 500 applicants and a 47-startup pitch competition, received mentoring and a services package valued at over $250,000, and move into training on credit products and portfolio management, with Renew's investment team treating the cohort as a pipeline for equity investment.
