SmartCollecte

SmartCollecte is a Casablanca-based cleantech company that automates the sorting and collection of plastic and metal waste. Its connected machines identify and sort recyclable items and link to a mobile application, giving users and operators a digital record of what has been collected. The company presents its work as AI solutions for smart waste collection.

Smart Collecte SARL was registered in Casablanca in 2022 with Meriem Zuhair as manager. It operates in Morocco's waste-management and recycling sector, where municipal collection contracts and informal recovery dominate, and targets businesses, municipalities and sites that generate recyclable packaging waste.

In October 2026 SmartCollecte was one of two Moroccan startups, alongside MIRRIAH, selected among 22 companies for continued support in SANAD ElevateHer, a Seedstars-run programme funded by the SANAD Fund for MSME that backs women-led businesses and companies that boost women's participation. After pitching at Techne Summit Alexandria on 3 October 2026, selected startups receive coaching, business development and investment-readiness support. Public information on the company remains thin; its website carries only a title tag.
