Jafife

Jafife is a Moroccan agrifood company that reduces post-harvest loss with digitalised solar drying. Its dryers process fruit, vegetables, herbs and seafood into shelf-stable dried foods and natural dyes, and a software layer the company calls food intelligence helps producers decide what to dry, when, and at what quality. A third service line, food valorisation, finds buyers for the dried output in processed food, textile and cosmetics supply chains.

The company works with farmers and cooperatives, retailers and wholesale markets, transporters, processors and storage operators, selling equipment and offering feasibility studies, training and quality-assurance support. Jafife claims up to 70 percent reduction in food waste and 50 percent lower energy use for clients, figures that are self-reported. Its partners include Morocco's Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University and the Fes-Meknes regional investment centre.

Jafife was founded by Fatima El Khou, who is CEO. It was a Top 12 Northern Africa finalist in the 2024 GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize and in October 2026 was selected among 22 ventures for Seedstars' SANAD ElevateHer programme, pitching at Techne Summit Alexandria.
