Peppa (peppa.io) was founded in Lagos in September 2021 to make social commerce safer in Africa through escrow-based payment protection: buyers' funds are held until delivery is confirmed, and sellers are protected from cancelled-order losses. Its own site (2026) describes Peppa as an enterprise infrastructure company that powers trusted payment flows and escrow for banks, platforms and merchants under their brand.
