About Nutri Protein
Nutri Protein raises insects for two uses: biological crop protection and sustainable animal feed. At its pilot farm in the Manouba region it keeps colonies of beneficial insects such as ladybirds and lacewings, which organic market gardeners release against pests, and breeds black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens) larvae that recycle organic waste into protein for livestock. The company frames this as turning waste into nutrition and offering farmers an ecological, lower-cost alternative for both pest management and feed.
