About LekkeSlaap

LekkeSlaap is a South African online accommodation booking platform operated by Tripco (Pty) Ltd. It offers holiday homes, hotels, guesthouses, B&Bs, resorts, lodges and other accommodation across Southern Africa. The business grew out of a garage-based travel tech startup begun in 2009, and the LekkeSlaap platform launched in 2013, initially as an Afrikaans leisure accommodation booking site before becoming bilingual. The company reports more than 40,000 listed properties and over 9 million guests served since inception. In October 2026 it announced its acquisition by a South African investor consortium co-led by Bellair Road Investment Partners and Janic Capital, with co-founders Jonathan Womersley and Marcel van de Ghinste exiting; CEO Frans Joubert and the existing executive team continue to lead the business.
