About Kloudnine

Kloudnine is a gamified digital skills platform for Grade 8 to 12 learners in the OR Tambo District of South Africa's Eastern Cape. It was built after its team saw school leavers and graduates arriving at a data science learnership without basic digital skills, and it aims to move learners' first computer experience to high school.

Learners sign in, pick a quest and build something real; the first quest produces a live webpage with their name on it in under an hour. Kloudnine is a product of BluEight (Pty) Ltd, a venture-building company in Mthatha that is a Microsoft AI Cloud Partner and Huawei Cloud Software Partner. It has two to ten staff.
