About Kaoun
Kaoun builds digital identity and payment infrastructure for the unbanked in Tunisia through its consumer app, Flouci. Users open a free current account with a bank identifier (RIB) and a free savings account, get physical and virtual cards, top up by card or bank transfer, withdraw at ATMs with or without a card, and make transfers, bill payments, phone top-ups, donations and QR payments online, in store or at a terminal. Flouci serves individuals, professionals and businesses, and the company is based in Tunis.
Kaoun was founded in 2018 by Nebras Jemel, Anis Kallel and Rostom Bouazizi. It holds Tunisia's Startup Act label (2019) and is an alumnus of the Google for Startups Accelerator Africa.
