About eFiche

eFiche is a Rwandan digital-health company whose electronic medical record (EMR) system replaces paper files with paperless, cashless workflows from patient registration through consultation, billing and reporting. Products include a next-generation EMR, a dental-facility EMR, a patient mobile app, analytics and predictive-insight tools, and a biobank and DNA-research module. The system works offline and on mobile, and integrates with Rwanda's Health Management Information System and Health Information Exchange, feeding live data to the National Health Intelligence Centre.

The company sells to clinics, hospitals and health posts and works with public-sector partners including the Rwanda Ministry of Health, Caritas Rwanda and the Government of Malawi. It reports more than 130 facilities, 700,000 patient records and 1.4 million consultations processed, and has rolled its system out to over 70 health posts in Nyagatare district.

eFiche Ltd was founded in 2020 in Kigali by David Kamugundu, a medical doctor. It has been accepted into the Africa CDC HealthTech Marketplace and in August 2026 Kamugundu reached the Top 20 of Africa's Business Heroes 2026, pitching at the semi-final in Nairobi on 21–22 August.
