About EduFlare

EduFlare is AI-powered paper marking and grading software for South African schools. Using OCR and machine learning, it reads and grades handwritten student papers, which the company says is 15 times faster than manual marking with 95% accuracy, such as 30 papers in 15 minutes instead of six hours.

The platform supports the CAPS and IEB curricula, generates personalised feedback, applies rubrics consistently and processes papers in batches. EduFlare says it is used by more than 5,000 teachers, and new users start free with 30 credits. It was founded in South Africa in 2024.
