About EarthAcre
EarthAcre runs a platform for nature-based carbon and biodiversity payments to landowners and communities, built on direct income and end-to-end traceability. It helps project developers onboard community members individually across complex land tenures, guides Free, Prior and Informed Consent processes with standardised materials, digitises landowner data and keeps records verified over a project's lifetime. Its projects run on Kenyan community lands including Ol Kinyei in the Maasai Mara, Eselenkei near Amboseli and Kitengela-Kipeto near Nairobi.
EarthAcre, Inc. was co-founded by Viraj Sikand (CEO), Mark Tracy, Patita Nkamunu, Mohanjeet Brar and Yasha Portnoy, with most of its team in Kenya. It was founded in 2020 and is backed by Enza Capital and the Mulago Foundation.
