About Data Science East Africa
Data Science East Africa (DSEAfrica) is a Nairobi-based community of more than 5,000 data enthusiasts from countries across Africa. It works to advance AI research and readiness on the continent and helps businesses use AI to raise productivity and cut operating costs.
Its main product is the DSEAfrica Data Lab, a browser-based practice platform where people preparing for data roles work through guided projects in Excel, SQL, Power BI and Python using real-world datasets, with instructor feedback, a SQL workspace, a Python lab and a leaderboard.
