About CashAfrica

CashAfrica builds NFC-based contactless payment infrastructure that lets banks, fintechs and payment providers enable tap-to-pay from their apps and existing POS terminals. Its CashTap API powers tap-to-pay from bank and fintech apps, and its CashMobile consumer app lets users tap to pay with linked cards or wallets. The company earns usage-based fees on API transactions. Partners and integrations reported by the company and press include PalmPay (tap-to-pay on PalmPay POS terminals, piloted on 1,000 terminals in 2025), ChamsSwitch (switching and settlement), and Chicken Republic, where mobile tap-to-pay is being rolled out across outlets starting in Lagos (announced October 2026).
