About BluPenguin
BluPenguin helps merchants in Ghana accept every payment type in-store and online. Its BluPay platform settles payments directly to a business bank account through QR codes, USSD, payment links and tap-and-pay card machines that take major credit and debit cards as well as mobile money. Merchants can also sell online, track sales and manage inventory with real-time data, and developers can integrate through its API.
The company runs an agent network that lets individuals earn income by withdrawing cash for customers with bank cards, and it sells dynamic SIMs for device connectivity. Founded in Accra in 2017, BluPenguin took part in the first cohort of the Visa Africa Fintech Accelerator in 2023.
