Block Markets Africa builds open financial market infrastructure for tokenised assets. Its OpenRUN whitepaper sets out a Regulated User Network collaboratively operated by licensed financial services providers, and an Open Sandbox subscription gives businesses, developers and regulators hands-on access to the network in a compliant environment. The company hosted the FinTech Association of South Africa's eZAR stablecoin and digital asset payment interoperability programme on its network in late 2024, and served as technical partner on the South African Reserve Bank's Project Khokha II experiments with wholesale CBDC, settlement tokens and tokenised debentures.
