About Abro

Abro is an Addis Ababa-based software company whose product turns the Android phones staff already carry into push-to-talk radios. A user presses, speaks and the whole team hears the message at once, across a venue, a city or several sites, without buying radio hardware.

A browser-based console lets control rooms talk and listen, and teams are organised into channels. Abro can run in the cloud or on a customer's own server and is aimed at events, hotels and venues, security teams, property and facilities, multi-site offices, construction and hospitals. Its LinkedIn profile describes a different product focused on roommate matching.
