About AbegVerify
AbegVerify is a free, community-powered fraud prevention tool for Nigerians. Users paste a phone number, email address, username, website link or address, or upload a screenshot of a chat, and AbegVerify checks it against six fraud databases and every scam report filed by its community before they send money.
The Lagos company also lets users report scams and get paid for verified reports, and it highlights the most reported scam types each week, such as fake job recruiters and crypto doubling schemes.
