About Student Companion AI
Student Companion AI is an AI-powered platform that answers students' administrative questions using their institution's real policies and handbooks. Students can ask where to find a deferral form, how to renew a student permit or how dropping a course affects a scholarship, and get answers at any hour, even when offices are closed.
The platform also offers a resource library and career opportunities for universities and students in Rwanda and across Africa. It was built at African Leadership University (ALU) in Kigali, where it is in daily use by students, and it reports more than 500 active students.
