About Sendu

Sendu is building embedded banking infrastructure for Uganda: a mobile money rail where every payment and savings contribution generates a credit score that banks and SACCOs can use to lend to people they currently cannot assess.

Its live product, Circle, digitises savings groups for SACCOs with mobile money collection, trust account settlement, lending infrastructure and 30 behavioural signals per member. Till, for interoperable merchant payments, is in pilot alongside Float, and a consumer Pay product for transfers and bills is in development. Sendu is based in Kampala with two to ten staff.
