About Sciency

Sciency is an edtech app from Phenomenon Technologies that works as a portable science lab on a phone. It targets science students in schools that cannot afford the physical models applied science teaching requires, offering an augmented-reality science graphics library aimed at IGCSE learners across Africa. Its site presents the product as a way to learn science by playing.

The Zimbabwean company is led by Nkosana Butholenkosi Masuku. Sciency advanced to the regional stage of the Seedstars World Competition 2020 and took part in the FT x Seedstars Challenge.
