About IPScore
IPScore describes itself as Uganda's first music credit bureau. It aims to make music artists bankable by valuing their intellectual property and turning royalty data into scores that lenders can use.
Artists upload data from collective management organisations, distributors and publishers, receive an IPScore between 0 and 1,000, and can then access IP-backed loan offers and manage their copyrights. Lenders use the platform to find verified opportunities. IPScore lists a team of two to ten people. The company presents this as a way to make music copyrights work as collateral.
