About Farmwise
Farmwise is an agritech platform based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, that aims to make farming possible and profitable for everyone. It gives young people access to mechanised farmland and farm inputs, presenting farming as a new side hustle.
The platform works with landowners, farm officers and suppliers, and prospective farmers can register their interest on the website. Farmwise was co-founded by Patricia Mmbando Kakorozya, its CEO, and Ruth Sidney Yongolo, its COO, who started it after seeing the number of smallholder farmers in their home villages decline.
