Culture Funding Watch

Cultural Funding Watch was founded in 2014 to provide a central hub serving as a platform for information and research in the field of financing cultural sector in the MENA region and increasignly in the African continent. Cultural policy research in the MENA region as well as in all the African continent showed that arts and philatropy professionals, artists and civil society need international intelligence, particularly on funding sources. The vision of Cultural Funding Watch is of a cultural sector development enriched by the effective allocation of funding resources, informed public discourse about philatropy, and broad understanding of the contributions of culture to transforming lives and building peace.
