About AfriScore

AfriScore is a Yaoundé-based credit intelligence platform for financial institutions lending in data-sparse markets. It helps lenders underwrite thin-file borrowers by turning fragmented signals such as mobile money activity, utility payments, airtime usage and transaction behaviour into structured, explainable credit scores.

Its customers include digital lenders, fintechs, BNPL providers, shops that sell on credit, banks, microfinance institutions and credit unions. Developers can add scoring through an API with documentation and a test console, and individuals can see what drives their own profile. The company reports results from a 60-day pilot in Kenya.
