Matthew Whalley

Matthew Whalley is the Director of Balwin Energy at Balwin Properties, with expertise in aerospace engineering, renewable energy, and sustainability. He holds BSc(Eng) Aeronautical and MSc(Eng) degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand. He founded Passerine Aircraft Corporation in 2017, becoming the first South African company accepted into Y Combinator, the renowned Silicon Valley startup accelerator. The company developed innovative STOL autonomous aircraft with bird-inspired jumping mechanisms.
