John (Josiah) Sakala

John (Josiah) Sakala is the CEO and Co-Founder of ChatCash, a Zimbabwean fintech startup founded in 2023. With a background in software engineering and artificial intelligence, he helped design the company’s scalable backend before stepping into the CEO role in 2025. He leads ChatCash’s mission to empower SMEs and informal traders by embedding payments, sales, and customer management directly into messaging platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram. Under his leadership, ChatCash has been recognized by Visa’s Africa Fintech Accelerator program, positioning the company as a key player in Africa’s digital economy.
