Alex Forsyth-Thompson

I am an entrepreneur, backed by phenomenal partners, on a mission to build a better way to buy big and pay small. Previously, I was the Group Head of Innovation for Alexander Forbes Group Holdings (a Pan-African insurer), responsible for leading high performance teams to develop and drive the Group’s innovation strategy, work on M&A deals and secure ventures and partnerships with local and foreign Fintech players. I cut my teeth in intrapreneurship by co-founding Alexander Forbes Stokvel Investments, which was recognised by Moneyweb as one of the "10 innovative financial products launched in 2015". I was also recognised as one of South Africa's "Top 40 under 40" leaders, by Destiny Man in 2017. I received several other internal leadership and innovation awards. I hold a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charter and a Certified Financial Planner® designation. My qualifications include a BCom and PGDP in Financial Planning through the University of Stellenbosch Business School.
