Timothy Steel is an experienced executive with over 35 years in international business, primarily focused on Africa. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Stahili (since September 2024) after leading Copia Global as CEO from March 2017 to May 2025, where he grew the company from 50 staff and 5,000 customers to 1,700 staff and 600,000 customers. Prior to Copia, Steel spent over two decades at TNT (now FedEx), holding senior leadership positions across multiple regions including General Manager for Associates in Asia, Middle East & Africa, Area Manager for North and East Africa, Managing Director for Southern Africa, and General Manager roles in Cyprus and Kenya. He began his career as Finance Manager at the Salvation Army East Africa. Steel studied history and accountancy, and has executive education from IMD Business School. He is known for his expertise in leading teams, problem-solving, strategic planning, and maintaining an optimistic, pragmatic approach to business challenges.
