MS Biomedical Engineering, Columbia University '16; BS Bioengineering, Santa Clara University '14. I am passionate about creating innovative solutions that solve unmet needs in healthcare, and have real impact on people's lives. My broad interests and curiosities have led me to projects from stem cell reprogramming research to global health medical device development. At Columbia University I was involved in cellular reprogramming research in the Nanotherapeutics and Stem Cell Engineering Lab at Columbia, and developed skills in the areas of cell-based therapeutics, regenerative medicine, and biopharmaceutical development. In addition to my experience in biotechnology research, I am also passionate about global health and engineering innovations that benefit vulnerable populations. I am co-founder of an early stage global health tech startup, Neopenda, where my team and I are developing and implementing an affordable wearable neonatal vital signs monitor for hospitals in Uganda and other resource-constrained settings.
