One of the most interesting things I learned during my MBA at Yale is that you're not the smartest person in the room. As a competitive swimmer, I also learned early to never become complacent. When your main competition is the clock, you can always do better. I live and work by this philosophy! I've had the good fortune of working at some great companies and with some great people over the past 8+ years. I've run 100+ persons, $100M+ organisations and held general management, supply chain management, operations, investments, account management, and business intelligence roles at both private start-ups and publicly held companies. I am currently leading Operations at Moove Africa where I am responsible for managing operations across three countries, strategy and team building to drive scale, and supporting new markets and technology deployment solutions. I have led Global Operations and Supply teams, including Structured Finance & Investments, Shipper, Customer and Carrier Support, and Business Intelligence. In recent years I have spent a lot of time focusing on operational efficiency strategy, demand and supply growth, analytics, and business insights across some of the largest mobility marketplaces in SubSaharan Africa including Kobo360 (one of Africa's largest e-logistics platforms). Previously, responsible for all of Uber's operations across 3 cities in Nigeria as Country Manager. Worked on various roles at the company ranging from competitive intelligence to regional operations and business intelligence. Before Uber, I was a top-ranked research analyst at CSL focusing on multinationals in the consumer space. My research coverage included such companies as Nestle, Unilever, and PZ Cussons (that’s right when FMCGs were cool). Recently, I’m interested in almost everything. Venture investments and how data plays in consumer-to-tech, to existential questions on the future of work, marketplaces decoupling, and the future of social networks. I’m extremely data-driven and bring in intellectual breadth, coupled with a lot of operational experience. I believe all problems are solvable. I believe creativity, teamwork and iteration can break through walls. Have a gnarly issue? Let’s hang out with a whiteboard for a few hours and let’s jam :)
