Seline van der Wat

Seline van der Wat is a tech executive with a background in industrial and systems engineering. She started her career in 2010 in renewable energy as a Project Manager, designing and managing greenfield hydro power plants in South Africa and Zimbabwe, managing over a billion South African Rands worth of project assets. In 2017, she joined hearX Group as Projects Lead, quickly advancing to General Manager within five months. She built the team from 7 to 91 people and became the first female executive at hearX in 2020 as Chief Operating Officer. She led company strategy, business development, product architecture, and data analysis, helping hearX raise funds and expand through strategic partnerships. She later served as Chief Strategy Officer at LXE Hearing before taking a planned career sabbatical in 2025 for professional development and strategic renewal. She finished third in MasterChef South Africa season 2 in 2013.
