• Currently running eLimu, a start up building apps to transform Kenyan schools. Developed a Primary School Revision application and the region's first literacy apps for 6-7 year olds in English, Kiswahili, Lugbarati and Somali. Our next target is the growing number of parents with android smartphones, and rolling out affordable, scientifically proven, and fun literacy apps across the region. • Set up a Behaviour Change consultancy in 2004 to develop high quality teaching materials at a low cost for developing countries. We published hundreds of thousands of posters, printed thousands of books, and ran radio campaigns in six languages throughout East Africa on topics such as coffee farming, malaria prevention and governance and human rights. • ICT 4 Development specialist - set up first citizen reporting website in Uganda for elections in Uganda. In 2011, UgandaWatch was supported by donors and local NGOs and allowed reporting of election abuses by SMS. Related projects include designing mobile apps for microfinance organisations and working with local newspapers to use mobile to increase circulation and ad revenue • Research consultant on development, aid, human rights, good governance and corruption in Africa. Includes risk analysis, monitoring and evaluation, report writing and journalism.
