Pius Molefe

Pius Komane Molefe is a seasoned financial services executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in Botswana's banking sector. He served as Managing Director of Botswana Building Society (BBS) from 2004 to 2022, leading the organization's transformation and commercialization initiatives. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Economics from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom, and a first-class honours degree in mechanical engineering. His career began at Barclays Bank of Botswana, followed by significant roles at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, where he was instrumental in handling development projects, developing financial services sector policies, and establishing the Botswana Stock Exchange. He currently serves as Independent Non-Executive Director at Cresta Marakanelo Ltd since 2011, bringing expertise in marketing, strategy, corporate governance, and financial services leadership.
