Patrick Beattie has spent over 15 years developing new and innovative technologies to create change across biotech, healthcare delivery, and global health sectors. Born and raised in Alaska, he earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering magna cum laude from Princeton University and his MBA with distinction from University of Oxford as a Skoll Scholar for Social Entrepreneurship. He served as a US Peace Corps volunteer for three years teaching math and chemistry in The Gambia and Guinea. He was the founding scientist at Diagnostics For All, a nonprofit point-of-care diagnostics company in Boston. In 2017-2018, he co-founded Redbird, a digital healthtech startup that enabled pharmacies to offer rapid diagnostic test services in West Africa, serving as CEO until 2023. He currently serves as Senior Program Officer at VentureWell, focusing on the Ventures programs Ascend and Aspire.
