
Opio David Obwangamoi is a Ugandan entrepreneur and fintech innovator with over 10 years of experience in financial technology. He is the founder of Ensibuuko (2012), a fintech provider offering digital solutions for savings groups, SACCOs, and microfinance institutions across Uganda and Africa. He is also the Founder and Executive Director of gnuGrid CRB (2019), Uganda's first indigenous Credit Reference Bureau licensed by the central bank in 2021. Growing up in an off-grid community on Buvuma Island, David developed a passion for creating digital solutions that improve service delivery and financial inclusion for last-mile communities. He is a Westerwelle Younger Founders Fellow (2019), Young Convergence Pioneer at World Frontiers Forum & MIT (2019), and has been recognized as one of Uganda's 100 Leading and Most Admired CEOs.
