Problem Solving & Innovation: Samuel was a Systems Engineer on the high-performance team that designed, tested and optimized a driverless train system within the world's largest university for women only in a country where women were not permitted to drive cars. Samuel developed the algorithm/operational model that drives the service availability sub-system. 2. Entrepreneurship & Finance: Samuel co-founded an internet start-up with 2 other friends. They designed, developed and released an innovative productivity application that facilitates effective collaboration among knowledge workers. Samuel was responsible for financial control, capital budgeting, capital structure management, fundraising, economic strategy and forecasting. 3. Operations & People Management: Samuel led a team of over 300 associates to deliver record-breaking order volumes for the largest e-commerce company in the world. Present and future: After an MBA with a Finance Major, Samuel's current goals focus on the deployment of capital for the solution of core African problems - starting with Food. Samuel has strong interests in agriculture, infrastructure development, business combinations, business turnaround, brown and greenfield projects, strategic alliances, financial markets, operations, start-ups, capital raising, project finance, real estate, and investments.
