Oliver Mtasa

Dr. Oliver Mtasa is a highly experienced Chartered Accountant with over 35 years of expertise in accounting, auditing, corporate advisory, strategy formation and implementation. He trained as a Chartered Accountant at Coopers and Lybrand and currently serves as Lead Partner at Crowe Zimbabwe. Dr. Mtasa has held numerous senior executive and board positions, including serving as Chairman of First Mutual Holdings Limited (2012-2020), CEO of Zimnat Lion Insurance Limited, and CEO of SMM Holdings. A strong advocate for corporate governance, he has served on multiple boards of listed and unlisted companies, both locally and internationally, chairing various board committees including audit, human resources, governance, and investment committees. He has extensive experience in the insurance, agriculture, and financial services sectors. Dr. Mtasa is also a farmer since 1995 and has held roles as Group Accountant and Group Treasurer at Lonrho.
