Engr. Obi Charles Nnanna is the founder and CEO of KALTANI, Africa’s leading clean-tech plastic waste recycling company positioned to solve the growing plastic waste and unemployment crisis on the continent. Engr Obi began his career in the energy industry working with 4 Fortune 500 companies across multiple continents in both emerging and global markets, where he built his reputation as a Management, Business Development/Strategy & Engineering expert. He is well recognised for his ability to coordinate and manage large capital-intensive projects, and Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC) adding value across complex value chains while meeting stakeholder requirements. Personal and company highlights Featured in the prestigious U.S Black Engineer & Innovative Technology Magazine as a “Rising Star in Energy.” He was the youngest of 25 engineers featured, an amazing feat at the young age of 27. Invited as Panelist for the social entrepreneurship panel at the 22nd Annual Harvard Africa MBA conference (February 2020) on Creating Clear Visions for Future Prosperity Selected out of over 1,000applicants to present at the 5TH X-Afrique Entrepreneurship Forum on the campus of L’ecole Polytechnique, Paris, France. Invited as speaker/panelist on the climate panel at the 10th Annual Oxford Africa Conference- Affirming African Agency: How Africa Defines the Next Decade (March, 2020). He holds a Bachelor of science degree (BSc.) in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma Norman, Oklahoma, USA, and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Strategy from the Cameron School of Business, University of Saint Thomas Houston, Texas, USA. He is happily married with children.
