Nicole Ballin

Nicole Ballin is a Principal at REDF with extensive experience in social entrepreneurship and impact investing. She co-founded UpEnergy, where she served as COO from 2010-2014, overseeing day-to-day operations and implementing flagship carbon cookstove distribution projects in Uganda. Prior to this, Nicole spent five years in financial services, working in operations and business management roles at UBS and Deutsche Bank. She founded Fire Monkey Consulting (2015-2018) offering strategy and operations consulting to social enterprises. Nicole also co-founded Refill Revolution (2008-2010) and has served as a mentor at Unreasonable Institute and on the Board of Advisors for True2o. She holds an MBA from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business with a concentration in social entrepreneurship and a B.A. in International Economics from UCLA.
