I have been working in the data science space since 2012 and I’m passionate about how we can use data to solve our biggest, toughest challenges. I believe that diverse data science teams create excellence, and that in building African data science solutions, local knowledge and context are key. In 2012 I founded Ixio, a data science consulting company with a strong focus on bridging the gap between business and technical data skills and people. I have developed several predictive modelling solutions around customer payment behaviour, resulting in additional revenue of over $100 million for our clients. More recently I co-founded Zindi, a data science competition platform working on developing the African data science ecosystem. I’m currently leading platform development for Zindi.
